THE LIGHT OF CHRIST AND THE EAGLE
I love it how Spirit impresses upon my heart a message and then confirms it through an oracle card. I have been meditating on Matthew 25:
(New Living Translation)
The Parable of the Bridesmaids
“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaidsa who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, 4but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. 5When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6“At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’
7“All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. 8Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’
9“But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’
10“But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. 11Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’
12“But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’
13“So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.
How many of us allow the distractions of life, the influences of the world, the willfulness of our egos, and the energy of others to dim our light? We get caught up in personal dramas, emotions, life scripts, old patterns, and past conditioning, and fail to remember why we are here.
Spirit’s message for this week is to allow Spirit to flow through you effortlessly. It takes spiritual mastery to center yourself in your daily life so that your Higher Self can lead and you can become a clear channel for the Divine to express Itself. Yet your light will shine if you only let it, and your connection to Source will always provide what you need without having to know how.
To follow your spiritual path, your only job is to listen to and then heed Spirit’s directives. Your Higher Self will only give you straightforward, positive, and encouraging support. The ego’s voice will tend to be negative and discouraging. Let this ageless wisdom that is your spiritual birthright come through so that you may shine with light and love upon yourself, others, and the world around you!
Remember, our purpose is to stay connected to Source so that Spirit can flow through us, allowing our Light to shine on this world, through Service to others. To finish Matthew 25:
(New International Version)
The Sheep and the Goats
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
As we begin our week that holds the Winter Solstice (Celebration of the Sun’s rebirth), Christmas (Celebration of Christ’s birth), the last Full Moon of 2015 on Christmas, and drive around experiencing all the Christmas lights, may we all keep our Light burning, serving one another, and trusting in the Divine to provide for us.
I posted this video on my Facebook page and it is inspiring and encouraging as Marianne Williamson talks about God being the electricity and we are the lamps. We just need to stay plugged in and trust that we are part of a grand intelligent design for the Cosmos!
Trust you find it helpful!
